UltrAA 灯是高强度、增强放电的空心阴极灯。这种类型的灯使用标准灯电流，但是通过灯内的额外增强放电加强了发射强度。这个增强的电流是通过第二控制模块来提供（该模块集成在仪器内部或由外部模块提供）。
UltrAA 灯采用纯度最高的阴极材料制造，每个灯都经过 QA/QC 测试以确保其性能和可靠性。这些灯都经过编码以便灯的自动识别（除了 50/55 AA、SpetrAA-50/55 和 SpectrAA-5 型外），这样就节省了重新对灯程序定位需要耗费的时间。
安捷伦对所有化学品和备件提供自发货之日起 90 天的标准质保期，空心阴极灯的质保期也是如此。无需记录运行小时，只要在质保期内均可享有质保的权利。
